One Too Many
A VFW local club was hosting a reception for members and their guests. Jack, an 18 year old, was attending the event with his parents. He had recently purchased a fake ID and wanted to see if it would work before he started using it when he went to college in a few months. Jack showed the bartender his fake and was served a beer. Once he saw it would pass, he continued to drink throughout the night. Around 10:45 Jack left the establishment and got in a car accident. The innocent victim he hit, Marc, was fatally injured. Marc's family sued the club for serving a minor.
