A Big Chomp
Anne took her daughter Elizabeth to the local Animal Shelter to pick out their first family pet. They were very interested in getting a dog. Like most shelters, they were placed in a room to interact with the dog they were very interested in possibly adopting. While petting the dog, it lunged for Elizabeth and bit her hand. She needed ten stitches from the bite. Her parents filed a lawsuit for pain and suffering as well as the emotional trauma.
